Worry

Worry

It eats away at you

Slowly you start to worry about something simple then all of a sudden
it turns into more

You wonder how it will turn out?

You start to stress
You cant sleep
You eat to much or drink or...what ever it may be

The definition of worry is quite haunting

verb (used without object), worried, worrying.
to torment oneself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; fret.

to torment with cares, anxieties, etc.; trouble; plague.
to seize, especially by the throat, with the teeth and shake or mangle, as one animal does another.
to harass by repeated biting, snapping, etc.
noun, plural worries.
a worried condition or feeling; uneasiness or anxiety.
a cause of uneasiness or anxiety; trouble.
act of worrying.

to torment oneself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; fret.

To torment oneself

That is what worry does

If I can be honest
I've worried myself to the point of torment
to the point of being seized by the throat with teeth and feel like I am being mangled

Can anyone relate?

It sneaks up on you
one day you are OK then it kind of takes over
and you wonder how you got there

Of course I know the truth and I know worry does not help and we need to give it over to the One who has everything in control

yet...we worry

Most of the time we worry about things we have absolutely no control over

And all of a sudden one worry leads into the next

I don't need to share my worries with you
we each have enough of our own
yet I have come to realize that I am spending too much time worrying

I need start focusing on what I can control and make decisions based on that

I need to get into the Word and not into the world so much

Gods' Got this

Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own"
Matthew 6:25-34

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence,“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matt 11:28-30).
