Merry Christmas from the Westerhoud's

Merry Christmas from the Westerhoud's

Many are getting ready to celebrate
Christmas with family or friends.

The stockings are hung, presents are
wrapped and the turkey is bought.

Some are driving to see family and for some
family is coming home.

For many it is indeed, the most wonderful time of year.

But truth be told for many more
this time of year is hard, lonely and complicated.

For many they want Christmas to just be done with already.

There are  many tears shed as they navigate through loss, heartache, grief, family dynamics , sickness, and loneliness.

I don't necessary hold any answers.

But I do know to be more aware during this time of year of the many hurts that life can carry.

I want to be aware and present in peoples live so that I can listen and care well.
Because not all are having a wonderful time of the year right now.

Like for many others, our year has had it's up's and downs.

We have lost dear friends to illnesses.
We carry this heavy within our hearts.
And pray for our friends and family that are struggling.

And this year, we grieve the loss of Tim, Mike's dad.
After a few years of failing health,
this past summer we said good bye to him.

Our daughter remembers her Opa fondly and
prays to God to keep him safe in heaven.

In the last few years, we are grateful for all the
trips we made to go see him.

The memories we made stay with us.

Our children continue to amaze us with their big personalities and kind hearts.

We spend as much time as we can, making everything we do a significant memory.

One of our greatest joys is watching them grow,
explore and enjoy life.

They are both passionate in what ever they do.

Our daughter loves to learn all about science and math and hopes to be a LEGO Engineer one day.
She continues to excel at Teak won Do and archery.

Our son loves to cause us all kinds of concerns as the spends time in and out of ER on a regular basis and continues to bring incident reports home from day care.

He loves being 'the running man' and actually any type of superhero , flying around the house.

Mike and I continue to work and do life in Norquay.

Mike continues to run Mykasha Designs along side a few kitchen projects.
I continue to serve the Norquay Church
while I continue to pursue part time studies
in Family and Marriage Therapy.

Our work keeps us busy and in our spare time we like to get away on our trike riding into the Saskatchewan sunset.

As a family we love to camp in our little camper, go for bike rides, play games, work on puzzles, spend time at the lake,
build LEGO creations and watch movies.
We also love to get away in the winter for a day or two to Madge lake and go sledding and skating.

Seasons

We are living in and out of seasons.

Right now we are living into raising 2 young beautiful souls the best way we know how.
Some days are easy and some days are just plain hard.

That is life.

We enter now into a New Year.
And with a New Year
there always comes a new season.

2020

We look forward to what kind of Season God will call us into.

We know He is in the details.

We know we can trust Him.

We know He loves us and will never
leave us or forsake us.

And that is enough.

We want to wish  you and  your family a very Merry Christmas.

My prayer for each and everyone of you is that
you will find
Healing and Peace in this New Year.

Merry Christmas
Natasha, Mike, Hana and Eli
